Grey Water Footprint of Contaminants of Emerging Concern from Wasterwater in Sava River Basin

Water pollution by contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) causes risks to both the environment and human health. We assessed water CECs in Sava River basin two monitoring campaigns carried out May July 2017. The grey footprint (GWF) is a tool that converts level particular substances into volume needed for dilution harmless level. Therefore, it can serve as an indicator comparing various pollutants. results show determine GWF differ individual locations. highest value was associated with 17β-estradiol, however, found only one wastewater sample. study showed locations fluctuates does not depend on size treatment plant from which discharged.
